I – BACKGROUNG
In Gabon, wood and its derivatives are widely used renewable energy because of its location and ancestral customs. With farmers, wood is used mainly for food preparation and their conservation and for the production of local beverage.
Unfortunately in recent decades, these facilities have not been able to adapt to technological changes and new equipment bioenergy (alternative technologies, clean technologies, improved stoves, etc.) have hardly been appreciated by farmers of Gabon continue to use the same production units, thus:
- Working conditions are difficult because of its technical equipment;
- Yield is low resulting in a significant consumption of wood and its derivatives. Hence a sizable impact on the environment.
The failure of the integration of bioenergy technologies in Gabon which were advocated, comes from several aspects beyond the traditional aspect. It is mainly due to the low consideration of the user environment where the lack of consistency between local resources (human and natural) - Technology - the product - the market. Knowing that what is decisive in the search for consistency this is not to analyze separately each of these components, but much more, how the couple, so that technological innovation and diffusion of knowledge Technology issues constituting two strengths of this process are reconcilable.
To this end, the work aims to create a database that will offer beneficiaries a range of options ecodesign * bioenergy technologies including references validated by the work of some laboratories or designers.
To achieve this, we will as a first step, make an inventory of bioenergy technologies most used in Gabon. In a second step, we analyze the failures of integration of new bioenergy technologies and their work. From the data we will develop a methodology experimental ecodesign * bioenergy technologies in Gabon.
Then we will validate the parameters (2) two devices bioenergy to installed peasants. To this end we will design, size and manufacture a hybrid dryer traditional operating from sun and biomass and we will continue the work of integration into the environment of peasants living in Gabon, a new bio-drying equipment and smoking fish.

OBJECTIVES
- Identify activities that can be conducted in Gabon from biomass;
- Summarize the equipment operating from biomass which can be used in Gabon;
- Make available to local manufacturers-designers a methodology for eco-design to offer an alternative to the design process equipment operating from biomass;
- Establish a database design on equipment operating from biomass in Gabon;
- Attract the attention of government, industry and conservationists on the ecological, economic and social consequences of the use of bioenergy in Gabon.
RESULTS EXPECTED
- Catalog of activities to be conducted in Gabon from bioenergy equipment;
- Collection of equipment operating from biomass which can be used in Gabon;
- Database on eco-design equipment operating from biomass;
- Eco-dryers hybrid (running from biomass and the sun).
