This is the 5^th ERA ARD Bioenergy newsletter.

The Bioenergy Call process is on schedule. In the following you can read a brief status.

The Call Secretariat received 18 project proposals for the Bioenergy Call under the ERA ARD Net. The Formality Check was completed. One of the proposals was really only a 5-page project idea and not submitted as an application with a budget and partners etc. So this proposal did not comply with the formal requirements.

The remaining 17 proposals have then sent to the National representatives on the Coordinated Call Steering Committee (CCSC) for a National Eligibility Check. This has now been completed.

On Sunday 16^th November 2008, the 17 proposals were sent to the Peer Reviewers for scientific evaluation.

The CCSC will meet in Brussels in December to prepare a recommendation for funding. All Research Consortia will be notified of the result of the decision.
